I have taught students of all ages and abilities for many years: running my own teaching practice, and teaching in schools in London, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Sheffield. I now offer lessons from my home in Sheffield.
I trained at the University of Sheffield and Trinity College of Music in London, gaining MMus, BMus and PG Cert qualifications in music.
My experience involves teaching individual and group lessons, giving demonstrations and ensemble and string orchestra coaching. I regularly prepare students for performances and exams and help build their music and performing skills and confidence.
My own performance experience includes playing solo and in duo, ensemble and orchestral groups. I have performed recitals, world premieres, concerts and on recordings and have played at venues and events all over the UK. Examples include the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Royal Festival Hall, St. Martin in the Fields, Isle of Arran Music Society, Plymouth City Museum International Concert Series, Moseley Rugby Club and the National Housing Awards, Four Seasons Hotel Park Lane.
